Breaking records this year

It is not what happens to us, but what happens in us that make the difference in life and ministry. Psalm . 34 Vs 19 says; many are the affliction of the righteous...." that means your being Born Again does not keep you from battles, but it keeps you from Disgrace”. The road of adversities (trials) is compulsory and all men go through it.

However, note this:

the same adversity that causes some men to break records, causes others to break down in which group are you?

1st chronicle 4 Vs 9-10 says....

9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

In this scripture,

Mr Jabez broke records in his generation despite his parental excuse,

but Samson broke down!

That means no matter the battles, adversities, delay, past failures or trials you have gone through or are going through,

Disgrace cannot happen in your life without your permission! Losers discuss obstacles! Winners talk opportunities!

No wonder despite her blindness, Helen Keller became the first ever deaf-blind person to earn a bachelors in arts. She became a lecturer, a political activist and a celebrated author in America.

Dear child of God, ignore that weakness or delay.

Reject self pity and depression! Don't compare yourself to others this year! You can do all things and all things are possible!

Never forget that Albert Einstein was thrown out of school because he was regarded as a slow learner!

George Washington was raised in a bad climate. The sown of Valley Forge!

Nelson Mandela rose from a poor family background!

Ruth was a miserable widow!

David was a rejected last born.

But did David and Ruth not break records at last?

Refuse to allow obstacles to be an excuse this year. You have just one life! You must break records and not break down! Keep seeing where you are going! The only reason men fail is broken focus!

You hear it all the time. "Don’t judge a book by its cover". And it is wrong to judge your great tomorrow because of your ugly today! Note: Stephen Hawking is a man in wheel chair who can't speak.

Then consider DEMOSTHENES. He was a chronic stammere and be became one of the greatest orators (speakers) that ever lived. At the tender age of 11, he tried to commit suicide because he could not speak. Is it possible to break records despite the monsters of battles and excuses? Yes! Yes! Yes! Remember Moses the stammerer who became Moses the orator (Acts 7 Vs 22).

Of all the mighty men of David mentioned in 2samuel 23,

Mr Benaiah, the son of jehoiada has always stuck to my soul Vs 20 of 2samuel 23 says

"he slew two lionlike men of moab! He went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit IN TIME OF SNOW". Note; "IN TIME OF SNOW".

Snow would have been an excuse. He defeated his excuse and broke records to become a mighty man.

When will you defeat your excuse? Another mighty man was Eleazer the son of Dodo. Vs 10 of 2samuel 23 says: "He arose and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary and his hand Clave unto the sword". He fought until his hands Clave unto the sword. That means "Fighting to End". It means no quitting till the record is broken.

Every setback has a divine comeback plan. KAHLO OF MEXICO suffered from polio.

But despite her setback,

she broke records and became the most celebrated painter in all of Mexico. There is on process without a promise.

Learn from Mr Jabez, David and Ruth! Believe in your God and yourself. All things are possible! You can break records! Yes you can! Yes you will!
